1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MealCast (“the Service”), operated by MealCast, LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MealCast is an AI-powered meal planning platform that generates personalized weekly meal plans, grocery lists, and integrates with grocery store APIs for ordering. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or legal entity per account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • MealCast offers free and paid subscription tiers.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
  • You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Grocery Store Integration

  • MealCast connects to third-party grocery store APIs (e.g., Kroger) to search products and populate your cart.
  • We are not responsible for grocery store pricing, product availability, delivery, or fulfillment.
  • Your purchases are between you and the grocery store. MealCast is not a party to those transactions.
  • You authorize MealCast to access your grocery store account for cart and product functionality when you connect it.

6. AI-Generated Content

  • Meal plans, recipes, and nutritional information are generated by AI and are estimates only.
  • MealCast does not guarantee nutritional accuracy. Consult a healthcare professional for medical dietary needs.
  • Allergy Warning: While we make every effort to exclude allergens you specify, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always verify ingredients if you have severe allergies.
  • Recipes are suggestions. Use your own judgment when cooking.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MealCast, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to health issues arising from AI-generated meal plans or recipes, grocery order errors, or service interruptions.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The MealCast name, logo, and branding are our intellectual property.
  • AI-generated meal plans and recipes created for you are yours to use personally.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated content at scale.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Circumvent any access controls or usage limits.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, United States.
